Can you find a mistake?

Let s = .999

then 10s= 9.999
           s=    .999

   Now subracting 9s= 9
                           s=1

So .999 =1

Whats wrong? Or whats right? lol

  1. 10s will be equal to 9.990(if s=.999)
    hence,9.990-.999=8.991.
    the mistake is at 10s=9.999(it should be9.990).
